Education: BFA, Industrial Design; BFA, Sculpture, Carnegie-Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA

Roberto J. Mendez has built custom cabinetry and furniture for a variety of private and commercial clients for the last 30 years. He enjoys working with wood, metal, clay and glass. Many of his designs feature moving parts, special mechanisms, and combinations of materials — tables that rotate; night stands with pullout trays; remote-control flat-screen television consoles and fully-equipped 
conference tables and media rooms.
Roberto also creates sustainable 
furniture using repurposed wine 
barrels, salvaged palm trees and other recycled materials.
